Murray Willocks

Chairman

Murray Willocks is current Chair of the Trust. Murray is the former Chief Executive of the Canterbury plant breeding and marketing company Agriseeds.

Barry Bragg

Deputy Chair

Barry has been a Trustee since 2002. He is the Chairman of Ngai Tahu Property Limited which has significant property, agricultural and land developments throughout the South Island. Barry is also Managing Director of Nuenz and CRL Energy, and was appointed to the Canterbury District Health Board in 2016. Barry’s extensive senior management experience; including strategic planning, commercial negotiations, risk management, human resources and operational leadership, plus his general governance experience make him a valuable member of our board.

Murray Weakley

Trustee

Murray is a partner in the law firm Anthony Harper specialising in property, commercial, corporate and banking law. His particular areas of expertise are commercial agreements, banking law, property law, trust and tax law and local government law. In 1992 he taught the income tax and estate planning law course at the University of Canterbury. He is a notary public and secretary of the South Island Society of Notaries and the Vice-President of the Canterbury Asthma Society. He was appointed as a Trustee in 1998.

Peter Jensen

Trustee

Peter Jensen has been a member of the Trust board for over 10 months. Peter currently works as the CEO at Addington Raceway Ltd, New Zealand’s leading harness racing venue and home to the New Zealand Cup and Canterbury’s iconic Cup Day. Peter is also the Board Chair for the St John of God Hauora Trust. Peter’s skills in business strategy, operations management and strategic planning are hugely beneficial to the Trust.

Warren Gilbertson

Trustee

Warren Gilbertson is an experienced Chief Operating Officer and Project Manager with a demonstrated history in both the private and public sectors. Skilled in management, strategic planning, business and regional development, Warren brings commercial leadership, and governance experience from a wide range of industries to the board. Warren has established a reputation for developing and implementing strategic solutions by building partnerships that deliver improved financial performance and economic growth.
